» Welcome From The Chief

Do you think adding a volunteer peacekeeping unit to the Service would work in the UCCM service area?
Yes
No
Not sure

On behalf of the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service, I am pleased to state that our police service is one of 9 self-administered First Nation police services located in the province of Ontario, Canada. In my role as Chief of Police over the past 14 years, I believe that one of our greatest assets is the ability and opportunity to work closely with our six First Nation communities that we serve. As partners in community safety, this has, and will continue to be, the key for our ongoing success and development toward progressive community policing strategies; we realize that these strategies must be culturally sensitive and accepted as the norm for our jurisdiction in order for us to succeed in our goals for long term community wellness and safety. Together, the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service and its community partners will continue to strive for long lasting and permanent solutions that will result in healthier and safe communities for the future.

I must publicly acknowledge the work and dedication of so many who have worked to get us this point in our 14 years of existence: the police officers of the service, the civilian staff, the UCCM Police Services Commission, and the UCCM Tribal Council.

The information contained in our website will hopefully provide you a glimpse of what we do, and who we are as a Service.

Any comments or questions are most welcome!
