Drug Seizure Valued at $6,300 :

On January 19, 2007, members of the UCCM Anishnaabe Police and the OPP canine unit executed a drug search warrant at a Whitefish River First Nation residence. Two males were subsequently located inside the residence. A quantity of marijuana and drug paraphenalia was seized with an estimated street value of $6,300.00.

Charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act is Christopher KAGESHEONGAI, age 45, of Whitefish River. KAGESHEONGAI is scheduled to attend Gore Bay Court on March 26, 2007. The other male found in the residence was not charged in this incident.

The investigating officer was Cst. M. Souliere.

The police urge the public to report any suspected drug activity by calling police directly or by using Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
