Manitoulin Family Resources Services:

1. Haven House Shelter
– residential 10-bed shelter for women in crisis and their children.
– 24 hour service, staff offering support and counseling, crisis line, referral.
- educational workshops, safety planning.

2. Outreach Services
. – short and long term counseling to address issues related to domestic violence, sexual abuse
– service provided in client’s choice of community, client’s home.
– support and advocacy for criminal/family court iissues.
– 24 hour crisis attendance available for victims of domestic violence/sexual assault.

3. Transitional Support Worker
– provides practical assistance to women in easing transition to safe and independent lifestyle.
– can assist with housing, transportation, court accompaniment, financial planning, job searches, education.

4. Building Bridges Child Witness Program
– 12 week group program designed to help children who have witnessed violence against their mothers.
– optional mother’s group runs at the same time and location.
