On or about the week of November 11th, 2013 an injured dog was reportedly taken into the Espanola Animal Hospital from the Whitefish River First Nation. The UCCM Police are investigating this incident and would like to hear from anybody who can assist in determining the circumstances surrounding this case. UCCM Police Chief Rodney Nahwegahbow states, ” Specifically speaking reports of animal cruelty are not common on any of the UCCMM First Nations and incidents of that nature are taken very seriously by our Police Service”
