A major component of the Social Navigator Initiative is to engage the public in proactive preventative services in partnership with the communities in our service area.

If you are looking for information or are interested in hosting a workshop, information session, learning series or informal drop in give us a call. We can and will tailor the information to a specific audience if necessary.

Community Networks

The UCCM Anishnaabe Police realizes the importance of community networks and is actively involved in the following networks on Mnidoo Mnising.

Networks are established to create a space where collaborative planning and implementation of new projects for specific target audiences or user groups can occur. It allows Officers and Civilian Staff to share community safety expertise in a variety of areas.

In addition to local networks, we proudly represent Anishnaabek Community Policing regionally and provincially as well.

Community Partnerships Maamwi Naadamadaa

Maamwi Naadamadaa is a multi-sector senior executive team.

Executives of UCCMM Affiliate agencies & Communities meet on a monthly basis to ensure that partners are maximizing resource outputs, eliminating silo’s, and addressing systemic barriers in order to provide the best services possible to UCCMM members.

Maamwi Naadamadaa was established in 2009 with the support of the UCCMM Board of Directors.

When translated, Maamwi Naadamadaa means “Let’s work together”.
