The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Services provides emergency service to the five U.C.C.M.M. First Nation Communities located on Manitoulin Island and on Highway 6.
The total population of the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service area is estimated to be close to 2000 people, and the breakdown of population for each First Nation is provided below. During the summer months though, the population can increase as seasonal residents arrive during this time.

- Sheshegwaning First Nation: 108
- Sheguindah First Nation: 160
- Whitefish River First Nation: 386
- Zhiibaahaasing First Nation: 71
- M’Chigeeng First Nation: 868
Additionally, Manitoulin Island has two other police services, the Ontario Provincial Policeand the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service. The service area for the Ontario Provincial Police is the various townships and municipalities on the Manitoulin Island, while Wikwemikong Tribal Police provides the police services to the Wikwemikong Unceeded Reserve. The UCCM Anishnaabe Police prides itself on the relationships it has established with the other Manitoulin Police Services. The implementation of an Operational Agreement with the Ontario Provincial Police has served to enhance the overall services provided to all the residents on Manitoulin lsland.
