Community Consultations: Envisioning the Future of Policing on Mnidoo Mnising

The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service is entering into a new planning period and work is starting on a strategic plan for the next 3 years.

We have contracted Community Based Research to lead community consultations on our behalf in each of the communities.  These sessions are for the public at large.  We will also host focus group circles with key stakeholders, partners and leadership.

We have constructed our planning around the vision of the service.  Our vision states “The UCCM Anishnaabe Police will be a partner in community wellness by providing proactive, culturally sensitive, and innovative service while respecting existing laws, customs and traditions.”

We are actively encouraging all band members within our territory to participate – come share your thoughts, opinions and idea’s on how we can grow to meet the needs of the community as we move forward.

General inquires can be directed to Taylor Sayers, Director of Corporate Services during regular business hours at 705-377-7135.

Inquiries specific to a community consultation please see the community contact info.
