Man Struck By Off Road Vehicle Results in Charges

MEDIA RELEASE

On the evening of the 23rd of July 2016, the UCCM Anishnaabe Police and the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the scene of person being stuck by a off road vehicle on M’Chigeeng First Nation. A seasonal resident of M’Chigeeng First Nation was struck by a male person driving a off road motor vehicle causing some minor injuries. As a result a 35 year old M’Chigeeng man was charged with Dangerous Opperation of a Motor Vehicle and Uttering Threats. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are pending.
