DRUG TRAFFICKING WARRANT EXECUTED IN WHITEFISH RIVER

UCCM Officers & Specialized Units Apprehend Individual and Seize Illicit Substances

On June 24, 2026, members of the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service K9 Unit and Patrol, executed a search warrant at a residence in Whitefish River First Nation as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male from Whitefish River First Nation was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers seized approximately $14,000 worth of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime, a cellular phone, and multiple digital scales commonly associated with drug trafficking.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.

Drug trafficking fuels violence, including home invasions, serious assaults, and homicides, while contributing to addiction, homelessness, and overdose deaths.
